Jonathan’s “preparation” turned into more of a celebration with close family and friends at his Father’s place. Maria began the day at her place also with close family, just a short ride to the ceremony at St Charles Borromeo in Bensenville. It didn’t take long for it to become an emotional ceremony as tears began pouring as soon as the bride walks down the isle.

Being that it’s Chicago and it’s December, it was certainly a challenge to find good photo spots. But Maria came up with an excellent plan of securing an hour at the Mayslake Peabody Estate which was also conveniently in Oak Brook, just a short drive to the reception venue at Drury Lane Theatre in Oak Brook Terrace. Chicago weather delivered and it was icy and painfully cold outside. So we ended up indoors but had a ton of fun exploring and taking photos inside Mayslake Peabody Estate. It forced us to be creative and also made for some dramatic backdrops. We have to give all the credit to Maria for coming up with this idea!

Some cool & fun details… The kids out-muscled the adults during the garter toss, there’s a few must-see photos. The guys wore Mickey cuff links. The guests were treated to a something different on the dancefloor, a piano duel Felix And Fingers, not your typical band or DJ! See more details on our FB Page!

Congratulations Maria & Jonathan! We know the experience in finding the right photographer was hard so we appreciate you taking a chance in LOP!

While Mark started his day at their new home, Liz got ready at her parents’ home, which has become familiar to us. After 2 weddings, there are now 4 new adorable faces competing for photo attention with the bride-to-be. The ceremony took place at St Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox, one of our favorite churches with lots of space and light to work with. Both wedding party photos and the reception took place at Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville. Liz was very excited to share her venue choice with us, as she knew we would very much appreciate its characteristics. And she was right! This venue was rustic with a touch of urban on the inside and was gorgeously designed on the outside for photos. Liz and Mark also did a great job dressing up the room with just the right amount of decor, letting its natural beauty do most of the work.

It was a VERY windy and cold day which made it a bit of a struggle to get good photos having to fight the wind and trying to catch everyone looking comfortable. But we had a lot of help from the bride & groom. Liz has this bright contagious smile that automatically cheers you up complemented by Mark’s cool and laid back presence. No matter how windy and cold, the entire wedding party were all laughs and very much enjoyed the short photo shoot. Thanks everyone for just enjoying the day regardless of conditions.

Some cool details… The bride and groom opted for the head table to be bare, showing its elegant wood finish to complement the centerpiece; their cake, standing atop a custom wine barrel built by the groom himself. The famous photo frame card box made its round, hopefully not the last time. The groom has something we’ve never seen before, a black rubber wedding ring to fit his work background. Guests were treated to a late night spread of sliders and mini hot dogs (always makes guests happy). So glad to see a guestbook with their engagement photos! If you’ve never seen them, check out their Engagement Photos here, one of our absolute favorites with its unique location.

Bitter sweet… It’s the last wedding for this family and we are so very honored and lucky to be part of every single one of them. You have all been so warm and welcoming and such a joy to photograph. So thank you so very much for letting us be a part of it all from the bottom of our hearts! Congratulations Liz & Mark! – Michelle & Tony

We got to see familiar faces again, documenting our 2nd wedding with this wonderful family. All the festivities conveniently took place at Sheraton in Lisle starting with the Sangeet Friday evening and the Baraat early Saturday morning. With such a compact timeline, we only had a few moments to step outside for photos and took advantage of a nice natural area not too far away (a great find while scouting). But most of the photos took place inside the Sheraton which was artfully decorated and made for some good indoor backgrounds. While the entire weekend was full of thunderstorms, it magically stopped for just enough time to have an outdoor Baraat.

Some fun details… Niraly & Hitesh did a fantastic job with their decor, showing vibrant purple theme throughout the ballroom. They had a B&W photo escort card that turned into color as each guest took their card. They had a giant snow globe with bobble head type figures of themselves in it along with Chicago theme locations. Every guest table had selfie sticks, such a great idea and allows for fun photos to share with the bride & groom. They treated their guests not only to an abundance of desert options, but they also had cook-to-order funnel cakes! Lots more to see so just go check out their gallery on our Facebook Page.

Congratulations Nirali & Hitesh! We are very grateful that you brought us back to your warm families and friends for another wedding. Thank you and we hope to see you again soon!

This was certainly a day filled with emotion as you can see with all the photo highlights. While Laura prepped for the day at her sister’s house, Tay and his groomsmen got ready at the Westin Itasca where the ceremony also took place. Tears of joy were surrounded the room during the ceremony, mostly from the groom himself. Some helpful kids and the MOG helped to get Tay through the emotional ceremony. The Westin Itasca provided for some wonderful photo backdrops. We also made a stop in the Rosemont area for more photos. The reception was held at the Belvedere Events & Banquets in Elk Grove Village.

Some fun details… Laura & Tay “Jumped the Broom”, an African American wedding tradition symbolizing sweeping away the old and welcoming the new, a symbol of new beginnings. The first half of the ceremony got so emotional that they forgot to do the “Blending of The Sands” which they made up for afterwards. Each guest was greeted with Hershey kisses as wedding favors.

Congratulations Laura & Tay! We are yet again blessed to be doing a repeat family wedding, getting to see familiar faces, so thank you for having us back!

Both Lauren and Michael prepared for their big day at nearby Eaglewood Resort in Itasca. The ceremony was also a short drive away at St. Isidore in Bloomingdale. While it’s tradition to have a long limo-bus ride to the reception (for a per-party sort of speak), the bride & groom couldn’t wait to get to their reception venue. And who can blame them! The Medinah Country Club is magnificent in every way, inside and out. Both sides of the family came in big numbers which made for a memorable and fun evening.

Some fun details…Lauren and her bridesmaids had personalized Starbucks cups to start the day. Lauren & Michael spared no expense treating their guests to a huge desert spread. Lauren surprised Michael with a Northwestern University groom’s cake.

Congratulations to Lauren & Michael! Hope to see everyone again in the near future!

11 years ago, we were privileged to be introduced to this wonderful family and since then, have shot a total of 4 weddings within their circle of friends and family. It’s certainly an honor and a treat to see everyone again with new additions. Most of the day took place at the Eaglewood Resort in Itasca, while Sarah started her day at home where her dress was surrounded with childhood memories. Chicago is very unpredictable so while it’s mid May, the weather seemed more like November so were held indoors for most of the day. But that did not take away from a lovely ceremony filled with emotional moments. The ceremony, while indoors, had great panoramic views of the golf course. We had a little break in the weather and got a chance for a few sunset shots on the bridge.

Some fun details…Sarah broke a “no gift” agreement and surprised Jason with an awesome electric guitar as a gift. While the girls had cute & sexy ribbon laced high heels, the guys had fun socks to accent their personalities, one of them had poop on it. Sarah & Jason donated to Hoosier Outrun Cancer in honor of a friend, always a great alternative to favors. Sarah’s brother did the speech for “her side” and got super creative, doing it with a poem to a slide show of fun life long photos, a hilarious treat for all the guests. See more of their highlights & details on our Facebook Page.

Congratulations Sarah & Jason! Thank you very much for having us back and giving us a chance to be with everyone once again and most of all, having us record your important memories! Hope to see everyone again in the near future!

We love to see familiar faces from previous weddings and Raquel & John’s wedding is one of them so this was certainly a treat for us. The entire day took place at the beautiful Eaglewood Resort in Itasca. And beautiful weather came to match the beautiful venue and set the stage for an emotional ceremony. For most late ceremony weddings, we often suggest that the bride & groom do a “first look” to leave plenty of time for photos. But it was important for Raquel & John to see each other for the first time at the isle. While we didn’t do a first look, we still managed enough time to get some great photos around the Eaglewood course. A big highlight for the evening was Raquel’s emotional dance with the most important men in her life including her brother.

Some fun details…The guys all got flasks as groomsmen gifts. There were plenty of wood carving pieces as decor and gifts. The guests were treated to a very cool “love” bottle opener. One of the highlights for the evening was a visit from a food truck Chicago Pizza Boss providing some tasty late night snacks for the guests. Another late evening highlight was Raquel serenading John on the dance floor. See more of their highlights & details on ourFacebook Page.

Congratulations Raquel & John! We had a great time starting with your freezing engagement session, but we were rewarded with such a beautiful wedding day. Thank you for having us back!

Susan & Scott reside up north in Canada of which where their main wedding celebrations took place. But with family roots in the St Charles area, it was only fitting to have an intimate wedding reception for some very close family and friends. While we were only there for a few hours and with no time to “warm up”, Susan and Scott photographed very well together as if they were trained by another photographer =) All the photos and reception took place at the Riverside Receptions in Geneva IL, a great area to have a nearby “get-away” wedding.

Congratulations to Susan and Scott! While it was only a short amount of time, it was an privilege to photograph some of your important times here in your home town. Thank you for having LOP!

Lori & Colm had a hot & humid wedding day, a contrast to their frozen engagement session which you can see here. They both got ready at the Comfort Inn in Geneva. While this place is what you would consider “in the middle of nowhere”, the back of the hotel provided a spectacular backdrop for their first look (as you can see). Immediately after the firs look, we headed out to Cantigny Park for some fun photos and took advantage of the colors in bloom for the summer. The ceremony and reception both took place at the breathtaking Riverside Receptions in Geneva IL. This venue is a treat for us “city” photographers, as we get a break from the skyscrapers and experience some nature, having amazing views of Fox River.

Some fun details…Lori & Colm had a wine/champagne theme of which you can notice with subtle details here and there. They had their initials made with bottle corks. The centerpiece flowers rested inside personalized wine bottles. The ceremony incorporated “sharing of wine”. We stepped out onto the river deck to get some sunset shots. The evening was capped off with a local fireworks show that could be conveniently seen from inside the venue. This is one of the many perks of Riverside Receptions.

Congratulations Lori & Colm and thank you so much for having us at your wedding! We love getting out of the city and this was certainly a treat for us!

Not only was today a special day, but it was also truly a unique wedding day. Katie & Utham incorporated some Hindu traditions by having a Hindu ceremony in the morning and finishing off the day with an American style reception. The fun part? Katie got to play dress up twice! The day began the Marriott Chicago Naperville with Katie’s long time friends, getting ready for a traditional Hindu ceremony at the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago in Lemont. The ceremony took place right before noon and after a quick lunch, Katie began getting ready for the reception switching to her white wedding dress. After a second “first look”, we headed to Naperville Riverwalk for some wedding party photos. Considering the very long day and many events happening throughout, everyone was laid back and had a great time experiencing the special day. This is certainly a treat for us photographers, getting to shoot 2 different looks in one day. While the day was longer than usual, it certainly didn’t feel that way. There are many more must see photos so don’t forget to visit their gallery on our Facebook Page!

Some cool details… Katie’s long time friends put together a photo collage of their younger years. The reception’s centerpiece was a beautiful Mehndi inspired cake which certainly caught our attention. Katie pulled off a really stunning look in the morning ceremony with a traditional Indian Sari. Then finishing off the day looking completely different but equally stunning with a traditional white wedding dress. Because if this wardrobe change, this is the first time we’ve experienced two “first looks” in one day!

Congratulations Katie & Utham! We’re very lucky to have been your photographers, especially since you had to pick one from out of town having to rely only on viewing our work online. So thank you for trusting in us and letting us witness your amazing day!
