Joanne & Brian were blessed with a gorgeous day for a wedding. The day began at one of the best hotels in O’Hare area, Loews Hotel Rosemont. After an emotional first look with the father of the bride, we headed into some light traffic heading into the city for the ceremony at St. Viator Parish. In an attempt to deviate from the usual Rosemont photo spots, we found a hidden gem in Park Ridge area (after a previous family shoot scouting), which provided an amazing backdrop during the golden hour. We finished off photos inside Loews which had some nice contemporary decor.

Some fun details…Joanne gave her junior bridesmaids a custom messaged handkerchief as their “something old” for their future wedding. A Cubs vs Sox “House Divided” flag greeted the guests in the lobby. The guests were also greeted by vintage family wedding photos from the past. You can see more of their highlights & details on our Facebook Page.

Congratulations to Joanne & Brian! We thank you for giving us the privilege to document your big day!

One of the daunting task of wedding photography is what we call the “culling” process, initially organizing the thousands of photos taken for the day. However for this wedding, this task was quite fun. Katherine & Kevin’s laid back and fun personalities did not disappoint as all the wedding photos were filled with laughs making the culling process much more enjoyable. Katherine began her day at her parents’ home while Kevin’s day started at Loews Chicago O’Hare. The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glenview, one of our favorite North Shore churches. We stopped at The Grove Redfield Estate for some wedding party photos. This Glenview Park combined with our sunset timing provided some amazing natural backdrops! The celebration with over 300 guests continued at Victoria Beau Jolie in Schiller Park.

Some cool details… well, how about Jim Cornelison serenading the guests with the national anthem following the bride & groom introduction! Yes, that happened and the ballroom erupted like a United Center Blackhawks game. This was very fitting since Katherine & Kevin are huge Chicago sports fans. Each table was named after a significant Chicago sports figure ranging from Michael Jordan to Jay Cutler. (Apologies for the guests sitting in Cutler’s table) The guests were treated to a late night snack of Gene and Jude’s famous hot dogs, another great Chicago figure!

Congratulations Katherine & Kevin on your unforgettable wedding! We’re lucky to have been photographers to a care-free and fun cast! Thank you for having us!

While Bernadetta & Jimmy’s wedding was all about a big group of friends and family having a huge celebration, it was nice to see them honor their Polish background by starting the day with a short Polish tradition at the bride’s home. Their parents bless the bride & groom with a crucifix, a lighted candle, and a sprinkle of of holy water, a symbolic farewell of the bride with her parents, relatives, and friends. We then headed to St Hyacinth Basilica in Chicago’s Logan Square, the unofficial official Polish church of Chicago. We followed with some wedding party photos in River North and Lincoln Park. The celebration continued at Fountain Blue in Des Plaines.

Some cool details… there was a traditional Polish band that pretty much followed us the entire day, from preparations to the church aisle and dancing at the reception, providing some festive Polish music. We had impeccable timing as we arrived in River North during a shoot for some cool cars. The couple was able to incorporate a touch of Halloween and fall decor at the reception. The groomsmen received personalized Louisville Slugger baseball bats. And needless to say, each table had personalized Wodka.

Congratulations Bernadetta & Jimmy on such a fun wedding day! We love to witness large number of friends and families come together and we thank you for letting us document these moments!

Samantha & Nick had a really fun filled wedding with lots of little clever details. And having everything in one venue certainly made the day a little less hectic on an otherwise chaotic Chicago Friday afternoon rush.

The ceremony took place at Holiday Inn Express in Rosemont with the reception taking place just above at Victoria Rosemont with towering views of O’Hare skyline. Samantha & Nick opted for a first look to take advantage of some photo spots nearby before the ceremony. We made a stop at Rosemont Monument Park and the Rosemont Waterfalls on Higgins and River Road.

Some cool details… I think it’s safe to say that Samantha loves purple. There were some cool purple mini signs of the amount of years each bridesmaid knew Samantha. The candy buffet spread was all purple. The ceremony backdrop was lit by purple up-lighting. The father of the bride wore an “I Loved Her Firs” cufflinks. The bride and groom danced into a fog filled dance-floor. Like we mentioned, lots of clever details!

Congratulations Samantha & Nick! Thanks for having LOP! Hope to see you guys again!

Trina & Josh had an adventurous day filled with lots of unique details.

Trina’s day started off with a little dress mishap but was quickly diffused by the presence of great friends and family. Josh had a much more laid back start waiting at the church which took place at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. The first stop after the ceremony was just 3 blocks away, Simon’s Tavern, a special spot for Trina & Josh. Then we were off to Wrigley Building on the Mag Mile and then an exciting stop where you don’t always see a wedding party… the world famous Billy Goat Tavern.

The scary Chicago traffic actually cooperated as we got back on time at InterContinental O’Hare. A few more unique details continued at the reception. Guests were treated to a Norwegian Ring Cake, Kransekake. Josh’s socks fell victim to a Danish tradition. And the father of the bride serenaded the guests with a German acapella number.

Congratulations to Trina & Josh! It was certainly nice to see you again after a few years and we’re honored to be your photographers!

Bride & Groom Comments:

I looked into a lot of photographers, but when I saw this website I couldn’t believe how beautiful the work was!  We are so incredibly happy with our wedding photographs.  There are so many details and sentimental moments that were captured, and our family and friends have all commented on how wonderful they turned out and how great it was to have LOP at the wedding.  You can tell that they love what they do; it truly shows in their work.  Thank you Tony and Michelle for the beautiful photographs!
